How to Convert Images to PDF
Many applications, landlords and offices ask for documents 'as a single PDF'. If you have photographed pages with your phone, combining them into one PDF makes them easier to send, print and keep together.
Before you start
Take photos in good, even light and fill the frame with the page. Crop away the table or background in your phone's photo editor — ToolsNest does not crop automatically.
Step by step
- Open Image to PDF and add your images.
- Use the up and down arrows to put pages in order.
- Choose A4 (most countries) or US Letter (USA, Canada). Choose 'Fit to image' if you want no white border.
- Pick portrait or landscape and a margin.
- Select Create PDF and download.
Keeping the file small
Large phone photos make large PDFs. If the result is too big for an email or form, resize the images to about 2000 px on the long side and compress them first, then build the PDF.
Limitations
The images are embedded as pictures, so text inside them is not searchable or selectable. Turning scans into searchable text requires OCR software.
In short
Crop, order, choose the regional page size and shrink large photos first — the result looks professional and stays small.
