About ToolsNest

Your Nest of Useful Online Tools.

ToolsNest is a collection of small, focused utilities for the file tasks people run into every day: making an image smaller, changing its size or format, combining documents into a PDF, or checking a word count.

How the tools work

Every tool runs in your web browser. Images are processed with the browser's Canvas API, PDFs with the open-source pdf-lib and PDF.js libraries, and text with plain JavaScript. Your files are not uploaded to our servers — there is no server-side processing at all, which is also how the site stays free.

Principles

  • Only show tools that actually work.
  • Explain limits honestly, including when a result cannot be achieved.
  • No accounts, no paywalls for basic tasks.
  • Keep pages fast and uncluttered.

How ToolsNest is funded

ToolsNest is free. In the future it may display advertising to cover hosting costs. Ads will never be placed over upload areas, controls or download buttons.
